Student Yoga Class

Hello Regis St. Mary Community! I am offering free yoga classes to students on Friday afternoons, from 3:15 until 4:15 pm. All ability levels are welcome.Students may bring towels instead of mats. We’ll be rooting ourselves in the basics, strengthening our awareness of breath and body. Hanna Bogen advocates for students to begin learning how to regulate themselves. The tools of breath and awareness that we cultivate through breathing and yoga are hugely impactful in this way. This has been a powerful practice in my own life, and I’d love to share it. We’ll have some fun, and build a stronger community together!

Click here for the consent form.

Hope to see your children on the mat!

SCRIP – Start Planning NOW

Fundraiser is SO easy with SCRIP, with a little planning, you can do almost ALL of your shopping with SCRIP!
It’s almost October…fall is here…the holidays will be here before we know it.

So, what can you do? Start buying SCRIP now, and you can use it for your holiday shopping! You’ll be prepared, and you’ll be fundraising. It’s money you were planning on spending anyway, so why not fundraise at the same time?!?!? It’s a WIN-WIN! Don’t forget, when you use SCRIP, you also help out your own tuition bill, making it a WIN-WIN-WIN for everyone!

Not ready for that much planning? Use SCRIP for your groceries. Consider purchasing just $100 a week to start with, and you’ll see how easy it is to do. Once you’re comfortable with that, you’ll start using SCRIP for all the purchases you can.

Another easy one is Amazon. Many of shop Amazon regularly, and love it! Why not load up on Amazon SCRIP, add it to your account, and make your shopping THAT much easier.

Start small. See the benefits. USE SCRIP.

Questions? StMaryStaytonScrip@yahoo.com

SCRIP packets will be sent home with your child this week.

2018 Auction Committee is gearing up for another great year!

Being a part of the auction committee is fun, exciting and a great way to get involved with families and our community. Plus earn share hours!

We are looking for 3 outgoing volunteers who would like to be part of our procurement team. This entails reaching out to a list of families and businesses for targeted items for donation.

Also in need of one person to organize our classroom projects. This person works with all grades to help coordinate with teachers and parents on selected class projects that will be made by the students and on display for the oral auction.

Please email your auction chairs Steffanie Piccirilli and Deanne Hayes at auction.chair@stmaryauction.org if you are interested.

Feed My Starving Children

From the Santiam Canyon’s hands to the world’s mouth
Regis and Stayton High School students are joining a community effort to pack meals for starving children all around the world, through an organization called Feed My Starving Children.
It takes just 22 cents to feed one child a meal. Cashing in 11 bottles or cans would feed 5 starving children a meal. St Mary’s, as well as other schools in the community, want to extend their support. We are asking each student to collect bottles and cans from their own neighborhood and cash them in. Money will need to be handed in to teachers no later than Friday, October 20th. Whichever class raises the most money will receive a pizza party. We appreciate your support.

“He upholds the cause of the oppressed and gives food to the hungry.” Psalm 146:7

The Community Mobile Pack will be at Stayton High School on November 4th & 5th 2017.
An additional pack on November 6th is reserved for Stayton High and Regis students.

Lost and Found

Wondering where that new sweatshirt is that you bought at the beginning of the year? How about that new lunch box or water bottle? Chances are we have them.

Check out the lost and found barrel which is already overflowing with your child’s misplaced items. The barrel is located by the gym doors and another box is in the upper level hallway.
