Parent Night – Thursday, September 21st

Parent Night is Thursday, September 21st from 6:00-7:30 pm. Parents only – free child care is available in Room 6. Homeroom teachers will be doing the presentations in their classrooms promptly at 6:00 and 6:45 p.m. Please wait for the 6:45 presentation if you are late for the 6:00 p.m.

For example, Mrs. Bishop will do a presentation at 6:00 and then the same presentation at 6:45. Presentations will include classroom and student expectations and other important classroom/grade specific guidelines.

Also available will be two sessions of the initial Called to Protect video training for those wishing to become eligible to volunteer. The first session will start at 5:00 pm (no child care at this time-Adults only please). The second session will start at 6:30 p.m.

Student Yoga Class

Hello Regis St. Mary Community! I’d love to offer a free yoga class to students on Friday afternoons, from 3:30 until 4:30 pm, starting Friday, September 22nd. The class will begin with beginner’s yoga practice. All students of all ability levels are welcome.Students are welcome to bring towels instead of mats. We’ll be rooting ourselves in the basics, strengthening our awareness of breath and body. Hanna Bogen really advocates for students to begin learning how to regulate themselves. The tools of breath and awareness that we cultivate through breathing and yoga are hugely impactful in this way. I know that this has been a powerful practice in my own life, and I’d love to share in it with you all. We’ll have some fun, and build a stronger community together!

Hope to see you on the mat!
Erika Murphy
